Railway Touring Company's Heart of Wales excursion, hauled by Stanier Black Five 4-6-0 No's. 45407 and 44871 approach Tyla Garw level crossing on the South Wales mainline near Pontyclun in pouring rain on Saturday 13th April 2013. Originating at Cardiff Central at 05:00 that morning, the train had been diesel hauled to Shrewsbury via Oxford for the steam hauled leg along the scenic (when its not raining cats and dogs) Heart of Wales line.
