Cross Country Class 170 'Turbostar' two-car unit No's. 170522 and 170521 are seen heading past Elford, Staffordshire on Tuesday, 5th March 2013 with the 14:37 Nottingham to Birmingham New Street service. Most of the Cross Country services between Nottingham and Birmingham are diagrammed to be worked by either a two-car or 3-car Class 170 unit but in order to provide extra capacity some of the services on the route have two sets coupled together.
