Parcel sector Class 47/4 No. 47501 has just arrived into platform 6 at Stafford on 26th July 1992, having dragged a Liverpool Lime Street to London Euston train from Crewe due to engineering work resulting in the overhead power being swithched off. At stafford the Class 47 was removed and the electric loco, out of sight at the rear, would the propel the train forward to London.
