The morning after the dreadful day before! This was the scene at Cowley Bridge Junction 24 hrs after the track flooded. Thousands of tonnes of ballast was washed away and the track bed severely undermined on both the GW Mainline and the Barnstable Branch. Note the logs still lying in the track brought down by the sheer volume and force of the water.
