Class 86 No. 86501 hauls a southbound intermodal service through Upper Hatton Staffs on 26th May 2001. Class 86 No. 86608 was regeared in 2000 and renumbered No. 86501 for single-handed freight working. As No. 86501 is still working in 2012 it is surprising that no other Class 86 locomotives were similarly regeared. The space where the loco was previously named St. John Ambulance can be seen on this photo.
