Devon and Cornwall Railways Class 31 No. 31601 is pictured approaching Marston Level Crossing, Derbyshire, shortly after passing Tutbury and Hatton station, on 25th September 2012 while powering empty stock working 5Z31, 11:30 Crewe to Dereham. The train, running nearly two hours late, is comprised of a rake of eight Mark II carriages sporting both former Virgin Trains and Inter City liveries. The fourth and fifth carriages were covered in graffiti.
