The ELR held another Deltic Weekend following the success of last year. Again five deltics were rostered for duties including some double heading. In two tone green Class 55 No. D9009 Alycidon along with No. D9016 Gordon Highlander make a spirited departure from Irwell Vale with the 12:46 Rawtenstall to Heywood working on 23rd September 2012.
