The Class 110's, the oldest of which date from 1957, are now within the twighlight of their careers. Those around Frankfurt Am Main should be replaced in December 2012 by class 114's transferred from Berlin. No. 110437 has arrived from Heidelberg and No. 110409 has arrived from Giessen, on 25th May 2012.
