It is rare to see a Class 66 working on a heritage railway. However on 15th April 2003 Freightliner Class 66 No. 66566 approaches Green End on the NYMR with headboard and a rake of Inter City coaches on a Grosmont to Pickering service as part of a diesel gala event.
