During the winter of 2011/2012, much of Europe experienced a bitterly cold winter. Around Olomouc, for example, a number of DMU's with underfloor engines were out of action due to being frozen solid! Lots of extra loco hauled services could be found covering for unavailable DMU's including No. 749250 waiting to work SP1635, the 16.29 to Sumperk on 22nd February 2012.
