On the 4th July 1987 an Open Day was held at Crewe Works. One of the exhibits receiving close inspection if badly damaged Class 37 No. 37011 (D6711). This loco sustained damage at Singer, Glasgow, while running round EMU sets No's. 303090 and 303051. The units ran away and caught up with the Class 37 with the result as shown.
