On the 27th July 2008 Carnforth had an Open Day and one of the exhibits was Class 26 No. D5310 in its original livery with yellow ends. This loco was new to traffic on 6th January 1959 and allocated to 34B-Finsbury Park. The loco did not have an operational boiler - the steam was coming from Stanier 8F No. 48151 parked just out of shot.
