Class 31 No. 31212, minus its nose end door, along with No. 31162, withdrawn at Immingham, on 6th September 1992. No. 31162 was sold for preservation in September 1993. No. 31212 was scrapped at MC Metal Processing, Springburn Works, Glasgow on 4th May 1995.
