The afternoon sun and lack of snow belies the freezing temperature of -8C, as Cross Country Trains Class 170 No. 170103 passes through Whittlesey with the disrupted 15:00 Cambridge to Birmingham New Street service. With electrical supply problems in the Elsenham area, Cross Country services were terminated at Cambridge on 11th February 2012, the remainder of the journey to Stansted Airport being carried out by bus.
