'Barnes-stormer'! On 21st December 2011, the minimal daylight available on the solstice is dimmed even more by the passage of Bulleid 'Merchant Navy' pacific No. 35028 'Clan Line', disguised as No. 35017 'Belgian Marine' as it powers through Barnes with the VSOE luncheon circular tour. This was both the last VSOE tour of the year and the last time the locomotive will work in the guise of 'Belgian Marine' under the current agreement.
