WD Austerity Class J94 0-6-0T No. 68012 tackles the fearsome 1 in 14 Hopton incline with just 2 loaded stone wagons.The consist was 6 wagons and hence 3 trips up the incline. A ride in the cab up this incline and in the brake van from Middleton Top to Friden was part of The Loughborough University Railway Society tour costing £4-10-0 for 12 members! on 27th April 1966
