A satisfying sight and sound as Class 31 No. 31235 accelerates as it passes through Crownthorpe, assisted by Class 31/4 No. 31438 (D5557), as the pair work the 1W11 14:00 Dereham to Wymondham Abbey service. Seen here during the Autumn Diesel Gala on 25th September 2011, it was 31438’s penultimate working on the MNR, before departs from for its new home at the Epping & Ongar Railway.
