On a day that was interrupted by frequent heavy rain, the sun made a rare appearance to illuminate all three locomotives in use during the Ribble Steam Railway's Steam Gala on Saturday 17th September 2011. On the left is Andrew Barclay 0-4-0ST No. 1147 of 1908, named John Howe, while Peckett 0-4-0ST no.1749 of 1928 Fulstow and Hunslet 0-6-0ST No. 3155 of 1944 Walkden prepare to leave Preston Riverside with the 12:00 passenger service.
