On Saturday 19th March 2011 during the WSR's Spring Steam Gala, ex-BR Standard Class 7 4-6-2 No. 70000 Britannia arrives at Williton with the 12:00 from Bishops Lydeard, passes under the newly erected footbridge. The footbridge has yet to have its deck, roof and stairs installed but when complete it will surely be a popular viewpoint for visitors to the station.
