The stretch of the ex-GWR Main Line north of Wolverhampton doesn't feature too often in photographs these days but much of it passes through idyllic Shropshire contryside. Arriva Trains Wales Class 158 No. 158838 heads for Aberystwyth on the 08.33 from Birmingham New St. approaching Shifnal from the south on 11th October 2008.
