The rescheduled departure of a pair of BARS Class 31s after Santa services gave the Dartmoor Railway an opportunity to run a Class 31 Gala on January 8th/9th. Organised at very short notice, the event was a great success, providing the opportunity to travel the full length of DR tracks, including the rarely used section between Sampford Courtenay and Coleford Junction. This is Class 31/4 No. 31454, bringing up the rear as the train prepares to depart Okehampton for Meldon on January 8th.
