A huge lattice viaduct carried the lines out of the former Manchester Central Station on the Midland route to the south and the CLC routes to the west.The southernmost spans are still in use on the Manchester Metrolink routes to Altrincham and Eccles but the northermost redundant span slowly slumbers on 6th January 2011.
