End of an Era, 8th October 2010: The last coal pit in the east of the 'Ruhrgebiet' closed end of September 2010. Ruhrkohle AG and Dampfloktradition Oberhausen organized a steam event on site. The train from Oberhausen Hbf to Hamm-Pelkum was limited to three cars and 120 passengers allowed on the site of the closed pit. Up front was oil-burning 2-8-2 '41 360'.
