The unique Class 89 electric locomotive No. 89001 was used by GNER in the early part of the franchise on London King's Cross-Leeds-Bradford Forester Square services to cover for unavailability of Class 91's, one such service which was booked to be worked by the loco was 1D42 the 15.40 London King's Cross-Bradford Forester Square service which is seen here approaching Bentley on the 23rd October 1997.
