Stanier 8F 2-8-0 No. 48773 (LMS No. 8233), complete with yellow stripe on cab signifying the loco was prohibited from working south of Liverpool or Manchester over the LM regions electrified lines to Euston. Built by North British in 1940 to fulfill part of a War Department order, it saw service on the Trans-Iranian Railway hauling supplies to Russia. Derailed after colliding with a camel, it went on to serve in the Suez Canal Zone, before finally returning to the UK. Seen here on display at the Highley Engine House on 19th June 2010.
