Caliente is situated on the climb from Bakersfield over the Tehachapi Pass. On 18th March 2007, a Union Pacific mixed freight approaches Caliente road crossing hauled by GE 5459, GE 5361, EMD 9839 and EMD 4290. The train will pass behind the camera and then travel back in the direction it has come along the climbing line which can be seen above the train.
