BR Class 08 0-6-0 DE No. D3101 sits outside the Engineering Shed at Loughborough, reportedly undergoing some electrical rectification. Built at Derby in 1955, it was one of ten locos of this class to receive airbrakes. Operated solely within the Southern region, it was stationed at Norwood, Ashford and Eastleigh before being withdrawn in 1972. Seen here at the Great Central Railway on 24th July 2010.
