DBAG diesel-hydraulic locomotive No. 218-421 at the buffer stops at Lindau in Bavaria, having double-headed with an unindentified class-mate on a Euro-City service from Munich to Zurich. The train reversed here with a SBB/CFF/FFS Re4/4-II electric locomotive 431-389 taking over the service. These platforms are electrified for the services to Austria and Switzerland but not for services to the rest of the German network.
