A detailed image of the first Travelling Post Office demonstration of the day, during the Great Central Railway’s ‘Mail By Rail’ Gala, on 24th July 2010. As the freshly restored TPO carriages pass the pick-up / drop off point, two bags have already been deposited into the ground net, while the two suspended from the gantry are also about to be taken. However, a slight lack of speed was attributed as the cause for one of the bags falling to the ground, as can be seen in the photo, rather than being taken into the TPO.
