The East Coast 13.17 departure from Peterborough for Newcastle was operated on 19th July 2010 with No. 43058 leading. This East Midlands Trains set was formed the wrong way round, first class to the north, and due to be turned at Newcastle. It is understood to be its first day of East Coast operations. The last coach and trailing power car were still in the original East Midlands dark green livery.
