Introduction of the 29 AnsaldoBreda V250 trains on order with NS-Hispeed and NMBS have slipped another year further with planned introduction of a limited V250 service (which require six train sets) not due before summer 2012.
In the meantime a minimal hourly service is offered between Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Since the TOC asks a euro 7,50 supplement per single journey, customers have abandoned the service and most of the trains run empty.
FYRA 1050 hauled by No. 186114 is seen passes Zoetermeer with the 16:40 departure from Schiphol airport to Rotterdam.
