The unique HSB metre gauge 2-6-2T No. 996001-4 and 2-10-2T No. 99 7245-6 depart from Eisfelder Talmühle on 21st May 2010. No. 99 7245-6 is on a Nordhausen to Brocken service and No. 996001-4 is returning to Gernrode via Stiege where will run round the loop. The Eisfelder Talmühle to Gernrode service is loco hauled on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays replacing a railcar. This is the first time for a number of years that steam locos have operated over the Stiege to Eisfelder Talmühle section and used the loop at Stiege.
