A refurbished No. ADK681 DMU stabled at Papakura Station in South Auckland on 9th March 2009. This service would later operate a service to Britomart Underground Station in Central Auckland via either Newmarket or Glen Innes. The station had recently been upgraded with new lifts, replacement footbridge, new shelters and extended platforms.
