An interesting 45 minutes at Crewe station was observed on Sunday 20th July when 67028 (topping dead 67030) arrived at platform 12 at the head of the Northern Belle stock off the Stoke line, almost immediately followed by 66420 hauling a Freightliner from the Basford Hall direction. Both trains required run around manouveres as 67028, seen backing on to the rear of its train, was to take the Northern Belle stock the short hop over to the LNWR Carriage Shed, but not before DRS 66420 had departed for Daventry (DIRFT).
