The original traction had failed at Watford Junction and was assisted by another electric locomotive as far as Nuneaton where the diesel was attached for the non-electrified section to Birmingham New Street. 47826 "Springburn" heads away in the opposite direction with a Euston bound service. 24th May 2003.
