GBRf will be operating a Class 66-hauled charter working on 27th July to raise money for Leukemia and Lymphoma Research. Bob Tiller

GBRailfreight is running a one-way Charity Train on Sunday 27th July from Ipswich to Basingstoke.

The train will follow the former ‘London Crosslink’ route, departing from Ipswich at 12:05, calling at Chelmsford (12:45), Stratford (14:05), Feltham (15:35) and Woking (16:11), before arriving in Basingstoke at 16:36. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A ONE-WAY ONLY TRIP.

The charter will operate on a ‘pay on the day’ basis with a flat fare of £20 for the whole journey or any part there of. GBRf will ensure that the stations allow passengers through any barriers.

Motive power for the trip will hopefully be a member of the Class 66 fleet that has yet to work a passenger service. All proceeds from the train will go to Leukemia and Lymphoma Research.
