It was Day 4 of the Branch Line Society rail tour. Today, the 5th July 2021, the tour was named "The Zuzzy Syphons" and ran initially from York to Hartlepool. It was intended to have two DRS Class 37s for the haulage of this part of the tour. Unfortunately, both Class 37's (Nos. 37423 and 37422) were deemed to have failed before the tour left York. The tour finally departed from York at 10.21; 84 minutes late, top and tailed by two DB Cargo Class 66's, Nos. 66066 "Geoff Spencer" and 66041. Having reversed at Darlington No. 66041 is now the lead loco in this view of the rail tour passing Teesside Airport, Middleton St. George, near Darlington, enroute to Hartlepool. At this point, some time had been clawed back and the tour was now running an hour late.
