The idyllic Wylye Valley north west of Salisbury is the scene depicted here on a sunny summer morning of the 16th June 2021. LMS re-built Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 No. 46100 Royal Scot heads down the valley passing the small rural church of St Nicholas of Mira at the helm of the Saphos Trains Portsmouth Harbour Express from Wolverhampton to Portsmouth Harbour. Class 47/4 No. 47593 Galloway Princess is on the rear of the train. The 4-6-0 had taken over at Bristol Temple Meads, the express having arrived there from Wolverhampton worked by 47593 and 47853.
