On the 11th June 2021, LMS Black 5 No. 44871 and support coach made their way from Grosmont, on the NYMR, to Carlisle, High Wapping Sidings, with Fort William as the ultimate destination. During the journey the opportunity was taken to turn the locomotive on the triangle of lines from Eaglescliffe to Stockton-on-Tees and then to Thornaby / Middlesbrough and back to Eaglescliffe. This was undertaken by the loco solo, with the support coach being left in Eaglescliffe Down Loop during the manoeuvre, to be attached latter. Thus, in this photograph No. 44871 is seen at Hartburn Junction, Stockton-on-Tees running as on the first leg of the triangle from Eaglescliffe to Stockton-on-Tees.
