Locomotives are rare visitors to the Wharfedale branch but there were several visits in mid February as Network Rail ran an inspection diagram around parts of West Yorkshire checking tunnels for excessive ice following the spell of very cold weather. Each working was covered by DRS Class 37 No. 37422 except for the last day of operation when WCRC supplied Class 37 No. 37668 seen arrives at Guiseley with the 10.31 Leeds - York leg of the diagram which involved a reversal at Guiseley and again at Shipley before returning to Leeds and York.
