During the past week alterations to rail services have been implemented in the Bristol area due major engineering works taking place at Patchway. The work has involved the demolition of the former brick arch bridge which carried the main line to South Wales. Here under miserable conditions, engineer's make adjustments to the multi wheeled bridge carrier as the new multi lane deck is slowly manoeuvred into position. Worthy of note are the signalling and telecommunication cables which are suspended above the gap on 30th October 2020.
