A very smart EWS Class 37 No. 37428 stands at York on 1st 5th June 1998 ahead of its naming The Royal Scotsman by Ed Burkhardt, chairman of Wisconsin Central, owners of EWS. The maroon livery was to match the Royal Scotsman train, on which the locomotive was to be used. No. 37428 was a frequent performer on Royal Scotsman duties between 1998 and 2003 until it was stored in February 2004, withdrawn in December 2009 and scrapped in March 2013.
