A possibly once only ever event occurred on 3rd December 2019, when in order to test the newly installed catenary in South Wales, several test trains were run between Newport and Chepstow. Although catenary is only in place as far as Severn Tunnel Junction, the train ran over the unelectrified section to Chepstow in order to reverse. Consist seen here arriving at Chepstow is DB Class 67 No. 67028, Class 90 No. 90035, an unidentified Mark 3 coach, DVT No. 82115 and DB Class 67 No. 67012
