Northern Class 158/0 BREL 'Express Sprinter' No. 158843 stands at Hexham Station (which opened in 1835 and is one of the oldest railway stations in the world, built to link the lead mines of the North Pennines to the Tyne Docks at Blaydon) working the 11:51 Newcastle to Carlisle service on 14th September 2019, while its Classmate No. 158849 arrives at Platform 1, working the 1125 Carlisle to Newcastle Service.
