WCRC class 57 No. 57001 creates a large cloud of smokey exhaust as it eases the Northern Belle into Carnforth station on 2nd 9th September 2019. The unusual clock of motive power for this train was the result of class 57 No. 57313 failing at Crewe en route from Telford Central to Carnforth earlier in the day necessitating a rescue by No. 57601 which was on the rear of the train. On arrival at Carnforth, both locomotives were removed in favour of No. 57001 and Class 47 No. 47804 which is out of sight on the rear of the train.
