On the 25th August 2019 during a Heritage Tram Weekend Open Boat 227 one of two operational in the fleet adds colour and romance to the scene along the Promenade Blackpool heading for the Pleasure Beach. A Flexity modern version present day tram can be seen going in the opposite direction heading towards Fleetwood
