The 75mph limit on the curves through Hungerford will trouble neither of these trains - the IET is just setting out from its stop with the hourly local service to Bedwyn, while the Avonmouth to Theale stone train hauled by DBC Class 66/0 No. 66164 has been delayed by the late-running previous service to Dagenham Docks and is slowing to enter the loop on the Common - to avoid further delaying the next 'up' West of England express on 19th August 2019. These are the 2nd and 3rd of five trains which kept the barriers at the level crossing below permanently down for an uncomfortably long wait for traffic and pedestrians.
