During the 1988 Glasgow Garden Festival a temporary tram route was laid on the south side of the River Clyde to transport visitors to the main entrance. One of the visiting trams was Blackpool Corporation Open Boat Car No. 606 seen on 5th May 1988 with Bellhaven Beers adverts, a long established local Scottish brewery from Dunbar, East Lothian. Built in 1934 No. 606 was exported to the USA during September 2000 where she can be found at the National Capital Trolley Museum, Washington DC.
