Saturday 27th October 2018 - Working flat out - Ceres Rail's two class 19s hammer past Knorrhoek, up the 1:39 incline to Sir Lowrys Pass and Steenbras, en route from Cape Town to Elgin this morning. Led by coal burning 4-8-2 class 19B No. 1412, "Bailey", with oil burner, class 19D No. 3322 running tender first behind it. Between them, a large auxiliary water tanker - the route is extremely demanding and little lineside water is available.
