The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland ran its South-Western railtour on a grey and wet 13th October 2018. The tour started at Dublin Connolly with 071 class locomotive No. 088 in charge and proceeded to Cork. A late arrival because of engineering work meant the planned leg to Cobh behind a 201 class locomotive was cancelled, so the tour reversed at Cork and headed on to Limerick. There classmate No. 081 took over for a run down the Western Rail Corridor to Athenry, and thence back to Dublin. Here No. 088 is seen running around the train at Cork station.
